This work combines painting and collage on reclaimed cardboard, allowing the material itself to become an active part of the composition. Torn and lifted fragments are intentionally preserved, creating a relief-like surface where texture, shadow and history remain visible rather than concealed.

A limited palette of vivid pink, violet and green transforms a simple botanical motif into a graphic study of colour and form. Oil paint establishes the structure, while oil pastels add softness, variation and tactile depth to the flower heads and stems.

Rather than treating cardboard as a neutral support, the work embraces its imperfectionscreases, tears and exposed layersas essential visual elements. The result sits between painting, printmaking and assemblage, where the physical character of the material becomes inseparable from the image itself.
