This work combines hand-cut cardboard elements with oil paint in a layered still-life composition. The flowers are simplified into bold silhouettes, while the vase anchors the composition with rhythmic black linework and a strong vertical form.

The turquoise background contrasts with warm reds, pinks and greens, allowing the cut shapes to remain distinct while emphasizing the physical depth created by the collage. Soft, hand-drawn looping lines move across the background, introducing a quieter rhythm that balances the structured arrangement of the bouquet.

The exposed corrugated edges, painted surfaces and visible construction are intentionally retained, making the process of cutting, assembling and painting part of the finished work. Situated between painting, collage and low relief, the piece explores colour, form and material through a playful but carefully balanced composition.
