I work in many different techniques depending on what I want to express, so my artistic voice sometimes feels like a patchwork, a collage in itself. Although it gives me flexibility and joy to explore many facets of artistic expression, it also comes at a price, sometimes feeling like I slip into anothers clothes or wear a mask. This collage is the result of examining the ambivalence of these feelings about my artistic identity.

Hanna Dierks is a self-taught artist currently based in Malmö, Sweden. She works in a variety of mediums but currently focusses on collage.
Her themes revolve around female identity and experience, creativity, the interplay of body and mind, and the search for beauty.
