Super Duo
Some stories start quietly, while others explode onto the scene. This one begins with the exhilarating roar of a V8 engine and three electric motors in perfect harmony – and features two of the world’s most iconic heroes together in a two-seater roadster. The super duo, Superman and Wonder Woman, are often seen as an unbeatable team. But what happens when they step out of the comic strip and into the driver’s seat of one of the most advanced cars in the world, working side by side and running a company together? Get ready for a thrill like no other.
The story covers everything from cosmic disasters, like a meteor shower threatening the Earth, to everyday traffic jams, such as a high-speed chase through the city streets. It delves into boardroom tactics, like negotiating with intergalactic investors, and a record attempt on the open road, where our heroes push the limits of their car's speed. Here, mythology, science fiction, and Swedish engineering come together in one tale – and it turns out that their collaboration works just as well on the road as in battle.
Join me on a journey to explore the fascinating world of super speed. This essay aims to entertain and enlighten you about the complex process of driving fast without losing your driving licence. Get ready to be informed and enlightened.
“Red Capes and a Koenigsegg
Two superheroes in a Koenigsegg, beneath a sky so wide,
A V8 growls in harmony with three bright motors’ stride.
Fifteen hundred horses surge, no gearbox in the way,
The road’s a stage, the targa top turns morning into day.
She takes the wheel – her hands are calm, her eyes are set ahead,
Each curve is a trial from the gods, each apex cleanly read.
He rides beside, a winning grin, his cape a crimson flare,
While Swedish craft and hero’s heart combine beyond compare.
From boardroom wars to asteroid threats, they’ve faced it all as one,
Yet here they chase a record time beneath the summer sun.
Carbon fibre panels gleam, the Autoskin unfolds,
The dihedral doors sweep upward like a story being told.
Zero to hundreds done in less than three heartbeats,
Two to three seconds more, the asphalt sings in the heat.
Four hundred down to nought again in twenty-eight point eight,
They carve their names in legend’s book, defying speed and fate.
Two heroes in a Koenigsegg – not just a masked charade,
But partners bound by trust and driven by love and life are displayed.
And when the final curve is passed, the finish line in sight,
The world remembers speed and grace… and two capes in full flight.”

Superman & Wonder Woman – A Perfect Duo in Myth and Everyday Life
Some couples complement each other in small ways: one remembers birthdays, the other files the tax return and mows the lawn. And then some couples complement each other on the monumental scale – stopping asteroids, preventing international crises, and saving both human lives and democracies before breakfast. Superman and Wonder Woman fall into the latter category, and their combination of strength, values, and personal chemistry makes them, in both fiction and fantasy, often regarded as the ultimate match. Superman's unwavering optimism and Wonder Woman's pragmatic approach to justice create a balance that is both inspiring and effective.
On the surface, they are similar: both are nearly invulnerable, possess strength comparable to gods, and can move at speeds that render speed cameras useless. However, their uniqueness is what makes their relationship so intriguing. Superman, the farm boy from Kansas, carries within him both the grief of what has been lost and the hope of creating something new. He is the epitome of a hero, always finding time to rescue a cat from a tree, even when the fate of the world rests on his shoulders. Wonder Woman, on the other hand, comes from Themyscira, a mythical island where discipline, honour, and mastery of arms are virtues. She is both diplomat and warrior, a woman able to broker peace between warring nations – or win the fight if negotiations break down.
When these two worlds converge, a perfect balance forms between idealism and determination. Superman often views the world as it could be – bright and cooperative. Wonder Woman perceives the world as it is – complex, driven by power, and full of grey areas – yet she still fights for what is right. Together, they serve as both mirrors and corrections to one another, creating a partnership that is reassuring and confident.
If They Ran a Company with Hundreds of Employees
It’s easy to picture Superman and Wonder Woman as co-CEOs of an international firm. Superman would offer the inspiring vision – the face of the organisation, always ready to speak at conferences and motivate both investors and staff. He would discuss innovation, sustainability, and corporate responsibility that genuinely benefit the world. In this metaphor, Superman represents the visionary aspect of leadership, always pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
Wonder Woman, on the other hand, would serve as the strategic force. She would monitor contracts, agreements, and legal hazards. No slipshod construction or dubious supply chains would escape her magical Lasso of Truth. She would foster an organisational culture grounded in respect, equality, and courage – and when quick decisions were required, she would be the one to ensure they were made.
Their partnership would provide the company with both moral integrity and a sharp business advantage. Superman would be the one to say, “We can go further than we think!” – and Wonder Woman would be the one to reply, “Yes, but we’ll do it the right way, and we’ll do it now.” In an era when companies need both heart and backbone, they would be the duo setting the standard.
Why does Wonder Woman often drive the family car? It may seem trivial, but in many versions of their life together, Wonder Woman is the one sitting behind the wheel. And that is no coincidence. This metaphorical scenario not only entertains but also engages the audience in their fictional life.
It may seem trivial, but in many versions of their fictional life together, Wonder Woman is often the one sitting behind the wheel. And that is no coincidence. This metaphor of Wonder Woman driving the family car symbolises her role as the one who maintains control and navigates the challenges that come their way.
First of all, Superman prefers to fly. He views the car as a means of transport for mortals, not for a man who can break the sound barrier before breakfast. When he gets into a car, he tends to overestimate or underestimate its capabilities. His sense of speed is calibrated for hypersonic flight, not for 25 mph through a residential area.
Second: Wonder Woman is accustomed to maintaining focus even under pressure. She is a warrior who has navigated battlefields, negotiation tables, and Olympic arenas. Driving in rush-hour traffic is nothing compared to manoeuvring a warhorse through arrows and spears.
And finally, she has a strong sense of control. Not because she doesn’t trust Superman, but because she knows she can handle both the car and any situations that arise. When the children were young and needed collecting, when the mother-in-law sat in the back seat, when the GPS lost its signal – she was the one who, calmly but firmly, held the wheel. And so it remains.
Times change. The children are grown and gone, and the mother-in-law has long had her car. The car is no longer a practical family wagon, but a shared pleasure. A two-seater Koenigsegg roadster, with the sky as its roof and the road as its playground, is their way of keeping the adventure alive. And even here, it is Wonder Woman who takes command – calmly but firmly, she guides. Superman may be faster than a speeding bullet, but in a car, he prefers to be the passenger, free to enjoy the ride while she navigates every curve as if it were one last trial set by the gods themselves.
A Partnership That Works in Every Realm.
Whether it’s saving the world from a cosmic disaster, running a company that transforms an entire industry, or enduring a long traffic jam on the way to the weekend retreat, Superman and Wonder Woman are a couple from whom both myth and everyday life can draw inspiration. They exemplify the idea that strength isn’t merely about muscle or power, but about blending different perspectives, values, and skills.
When they work together, the whole is always greater than the sum of its parts – and perhaps that’s precisely why, in the realm of fiction, they so frequently appear as the ideal pair.
A Closer Look at the Car.
Superman and Wonder Woman each have their star-studded leadership roles on the move – but could the legendary car they share be more than just a vehicle? Here’s a detailed overview of the Koenigsegg Regera, a hybrid hypercar that combines technological innovation with luxury and lasting performance:
Design & Bodywork.
The Regera is a two-door roadster featuring a targa top – a fixed, removable roof panel stored at the front of the car. Its elegant lines and dihedral synchro-helix doors not only create a futuristic look but also highlight its distinctive character, leaving you in awe of its design and aesthetics.
Hybrid Drivetrain & Power.
The Regera boasts an impressive combined powertrain. A 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and three YASA electric motors, delivering a staggering 700 hp and up to 900–1,000 Nm of additional torque, producing a total output of around 1,100 hp (on 95-octane fuel) and up to 1,500 hp on E85. The battery is an 800-volt, 4.5 kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion unit weighing 75 kg, ensuring a thrilling and powerful driving experience.
Koenigsegg Direct Drive (KDD).
The Regera is revolutionary: it lacks a traditional gearbox, instead employing a “direct drive” system with a single-speed fixed gear, providing instant power without the need for shifting. This setup reduces weight and simplifies the drivetrain – a technique inspired by the power delivery of electric cars.
Luxury & Technology.
The interior of the Regera is a testament to luxury and comfort. It features self-navigating, power-adjustable seats with memory function, a Neonode 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, camera monitoring (front, rear, and interior), Apple CarPlay, 4G/Wi-Fi, and ambient lighting. Every detail is designed to pamper and indulge.
The Regera is not just a car, it's a technological marvel. It is the first fully robotised production car – panels, doors, and wings are hydraulically and automatically operated, showcasing its innovative design and unique features.
Performance & Records
In practice, the Regera is a rocket:
0–100 km/h in about 2.8 seconds
0–200 km/h in about 6.6 seconds
0–300 km/h in about 10.9 seconds
It broke the 0–400–0 km/h production car record, reducing it from 31.49 seconds to 28.81 seconds during a record attempt in June 2023.
Exclusivity & Production.
Produced between 2016 and 2022, with only about 85 units sold, the Koenigsegg Regera is a true rarity in the automotive world. Each car is meticulously handcrafted at the Koenigsegg factory in Ängelholm, Sweden, with the utmost attention to detail and quality. The production process, which includes extensive testing and customisation options, ensures that each Regera is a unique masterpiece. Special editions include the “KNC,” “Kejsare,” “Honey,” and “Gotham,” With one model featuring 24k gold-plated details, sold for approximately £2.6 million. Owning a Regera is not just a purchase; it's a statement of exclusivity and luxury.
Summary
The Koenigsegg Regera is more than just a car – it’s a technological vision turned into reality. With its powerful hybrid engine, unique gearbox-free drivetrain, and luxurious interior, it pushes the boundaries of what a hypercar can be. For Superman and Wonder Woman, it is, of course, not just a disguised vehicle, but a partner as exceptional as they are.

Lite om bilder och mig. Translation in English at the end.

A bit about pictures and me.
I'm a curious person who sees everything in pictures, even what I express in words, often combining them, for behind all my pictures lies a story. These narratives, some as short as a single image and others as long as a novel, are the heart and soul of my work.
Pictures tell stories. Wherever I go, I'm surrounded by natural beauty, exciting people, and history. I use my camera to document the world and blend what I see with what I feel to capture the hidden magic.
My images tell my stories. Through my pictures, prints, and narratives, I invite you to partake in these stories in your life and home and share my deeply personal perspective of our world. More than meets the eye. I think in pictures, dream, write, and talk about them; consequently, I must create images too. They become what I see, not necessarily confined to reality. There's a picture around every corner. I hope you'll see what I saw and enjoy it.
I'm also a writer, and many images come with a shorter or longer essay. It accompanies the painting, printed on fine paper with my personal greeting.
Many pictures start their journey on my camera. Simply put, I describe the image I see in my mind, experienced or imagined. The image arises within me even before I bring the eyepiece to my eye. In a fraction of a moment, I see what I want and what can be done with the picture. Here, I'll insert a giraffe, Superman, the Titanic, or whatever my imagination conjures up. Even stranger is that I remember the mental image long after it's time to create the work. Whether I succeed is up to the observer, often imbued with a streak of black humour – the aim is to entertain. My pictures usually become a talking point wherever they hang.
I prefer pictures that convey a message in multiple layers. At first glance, they're filled with feel-good vibes, a beautiful view, lovely weather, the sun shining, flowers in the meadow, or the water lying deceptively calm. But beneath this surface beauty, I often conceal a deeper story, a narrative that challenges societal norms or explores the human condition. I invite you to delve into these hidden narratives and discover the layers of meaning within my work.
Picture and design have been a thread running through my life. Photographic art feels like a fitting finale, and I'm happy to share it.
My genre is varied, as seen in my pictures; the theme is a blend of pop and street art in collages that can consist of hundreds of layers. Some images can take weeks, others just a day before it's time to hand over the result to the print workshop. Fine Art Prints are digital photo collages. In these collages, tearing, cutting, puzzling, painting, drawing, and spraying happen digitally. What I insert can be images hundreds of years old that I carefully extract so they appear to be part of the painting, but also images created by myself, now also generated from my imagination. Next, visit the print studio and, for certain images, number a limited edition (usually 7 copies) and sign them by hand. Some images may be available in other formats. Just ask which ones. If you like an image that's 70x100 but doesn't have space on the wall, you might be able to get it in 50x70 cm instead. The question is open.
The Giclée method, or Fine Art Print as it's also called, is the modern way of producing graphic art. This method ensures the highest quality and longevity of the artwork, using a high-quality large-format printer with archival pigment inks and artist paper or, in some cases, canvas. The paper used meets the longevity requirements set by museums and galleries. I sell my pictures unframed, allowing the new owner to personalise their artwork, confident in the lasting value and quality of the piece.
For many years, I only exhibited online, in selected groups, and on my Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/jorgen.thornberg.9. I also have my website, which unfortunately is not constantly updated - https://www.jth.life/. You can also read some of the stories accompanying the pictures there.
