I feel that the constant stream of social media content, of images everywhere, can become paralysing for my own work. There is a fine line between inspiration and overwhelming exposure. In a world where algorithms decide what becomes seen, it is easier than ever to be swept away by the mainstream.

Hanna Dierks is a self-taught artist currently based in Malmö, Sweden. She works in a variety of mediums but currently focusses on collage.
Her themes revolve around female identity and experience, creativity, the interplay of body and mind, and the search for beauty.
