In this symbolically rich composition, negative space becomes sacred space, forming the shape of a woman’s womb, the origin of life and mystery. Nestled within this central womb is a mermaid-like baby, a surreal embodiment of innocence, transformation, and the unknown depths of creation.

Surrounding the womb are two red fish, their scales, their eyes expressive and watchful. These fish are the guardians of hidden truths, embodying the role of the keepers of secrets.

Above them, two large eyes shed tears of joy, a symbol of emotional release, and the happiness of birth.

In Keeper of Secrets, I seek to express the profound and joyful moment of learning about a potential pregnancy - a vision that came to me when a close friend shared this intimate news. The artwork captures the emotional intensity of that revelation, transforming it into a dreamlike realm where surrealism and femininity intertwine.
