I really adore the small garden houses. Of course the growth of plants and flowers that cover the houses from Spring to late Summer is poetry for the senses but these little houses keep the gardeners tools safe and dry and allow for sheltered afternoon naps. These little houses get their turn to shine in Autumn and Winter.
This is painted on Saunders Waterford 300g/m watercolor paper using winsor & newton professional watercolor paints and polychromos pencils.

I am an American artist, mother and wife, now calling Sweden my home. My creative journey is intertwined with the exploration of this culture and its landscape. I hold a B.F.A. in Illustration, majoring in Children’s Book Illustration. I use that practice when I am painting to capture a moment or a feeling and give it a story. My goal is to create works that not only celebrate the beauty of my surroundings but also share the everyday moments of life and bring joy or warmth to the viewer. My work also extends to illustrating and designing children's books.
