Statement: My paintings are painted with acrylic and sleep in category "Abstract / Modern Art". They inspire a sense of warmth, playfulness and rustic feel. With my art I want to convey human emotion through a universal visual language of abstract forms and colors that transcends cultural and physical boundaries. For me, abstract art, the ideal visual mode to express "inner necessity" of me as an artist and to convey universal human emotions and ideas. Greatest inspiration is nature and various essential items that have aged and have something to tell in a natural abstract and inspires a feeling that can not describe in words. Structure permeates all my works. The painting can be hung on the wall in four different ways depending on how you look on the board. The board can be seen from different angles and dimensions and thus obtain different and appearance depending on your feelings and experiences. I'm inspired by great artists like Jackson Pollock, who for me is the greatest artist behind the abstract expressionist and Mark Rothko because of the emotions he communicates through his masterpiece and Bengt Lindstrom, inspiring me with his strong color combinations and last but not least, Anselm Kiefer's monumental, often confrontational canvases were groundbreaking at a time when the painting was thought to be anything but dead as a medium. The artist is most famous for his subject that deals with German history and myth, especially when it comes to the Holocaust "very inspiring artist.

OMID GHORAB — CONTEMPORARY ARTIST
Min konst växer fram i mötet mellan natur, material och känsla.
Jag inspireras av det som förändras med tiden – sprickor, lager, färger och åldrade ytor som bär på spår av ett tidigare liv. Genom måleri och skulptur söker jag efter det råa, organiska och ofullkomliga.
Jag arbetar intuitivt och låter materialet vara en del av processen. Varje verk får utveckla sitt eget uttryck och lämnar utrymme för betraktarens egna minnen, känslor och tolkningar.
För mig ska konst inte bara ses. Den ska kännas.

OMID GHORAB — CONTEMPORARY ARTIST
My art emerges through the connection between nature, material and emotion.
I am inspired by what time leaves behind — cracks, layers, colours and aged surfaces carrying traces of another life. Through painting and sculpture, I explore the raw, organic and imperfect.
I work intuitively, allowing the material to become part of the process. Each work develops its own expression, leaving space for the viewer’s memories, emotions and personal interpretation.
For me, art is not only meant to be seen. It is meant to be felt.
