.I wanted to make a pattern that "wasn't" a pattern. A bit like life I suppose. I mean things SEEM patternistic, but there is no true "exact"... just... similar.
And, as we try and lock in a pattern, something always happens... something comes between, gets caught between, is visible during the transitions... and it is there one sees the mesh and adhesion of such "things". So this piece ended up as an examination of what can be seen between things, in reality or metaphorically. It was the first in a series of portrayals of this idea.
