The air element, a big scale painting I have created of the 5 elements. Air is the element of intelligence, creativity, ideas, thoughts and beginnings. This element governs the mind, logic, mental activity & realms of the mind. It is connected with mathematics, science and the law.

Largely intangible and without permanent form, air is an active, masculine element, superior to the more material elements of water and earth. The energy of Air rules the east, and it’s season is spring. As it is the element of the wind, Air governs all movement, and is associated with travel, freedom, thought, ideas, intellect, imagination and discovery. The zodiac water signs are Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. Air personalities are analytical & creative thinkers & rational in nature. Air people have the gift of flexibility, adapting to new trends readily. People trust them for having perspectives. Those born with the air element can become so etheric their conscious can literally “float” away, meaning they are not grounded in this reality and life seem to “blow” them around rather than them controlling their own journey. This is where the practice of meditation becomes helpful for greater grounding.

The element of Air is an excellent representation of spiritual faith. Air reminds us that there is more in this world than what we can grasp with the limitations of our five senses. Air teaches us that we must grow and change just as the world does.
