För ett par år sedan skickade jag några verk till David Fair som mina elever (10 åringar) hade gjort, inspirerade av Davids tavlor. Fick följande svar av honom:

That is such an honor. But it is backwards. They are the ones who already have the style. I spend my life trying to unlearn the art rules that I have been taught. They are already wonderful artists and I can learn from them. It is so fun for me to see what they have done. It looks like you teach a room full of masters. with encouragement and excitement they will not be spoiled and will live with, and love art. You are doing an important job. I thank you.
