Marit Stjernberg

I am a Swedish based artist from Västerås. I have my origin from the beautiful county of Dalarna.
This is where I first came in contact with painting through my grandfather who was an artist.
Throughout my life I have been interested in art in all its forms, architecture, interior design, sculptures etc. The painting has always been there but became like an obsession from 2014, since then I have been painting continuously.
In my portraits, I am inspired to catch different moods, the eyes say very much in an expression.
I also paint abstract, animals, nature, flowers, love to work with different color combinations, layers, depth and contrasts. It is so much that inspires me to try in different mediums and techniques but mostly I paint with acrylic in many layers, but also some oil, mixed media and alcoholic ink.
