Set within a Nordic landscape, two mallards fly side by side across the mist-filled sky. Their small figures create a gentle sense of movement within the still surroundings.
Layered in soft grey-green, blue and warm earthy tones, the painting shifts between atmospheric light and richly textured surfaces. The contrast between the detailed birds and the abstract landscape allows the scene to reveal itself gradually, changing subtly with the light throughout the day. A one-of-a-kind painting.
