Nicole Viviani was born in Brazil, and grew up in Treviso, Italy. Her multicultural family roots and childhood spent living in many different countries shaped her artistic perspective, which is equal parts curious and introspective. She was introduced to art by her mother, and then pursued formal training in Rome, Italy.

Her work is saturated, vibrant and reminiscent of prismatic colour palettes. She is inspired by impressionism and vintage comic book art.

"I like to paint colour as vibrantly as it feels to me: there are tone shifts in certain colours that can only be fully shown when I bend the rules of value, just a little. The intensity that results from that contrast is what really defines a feeling in my pieces."
