Christo Kuzmanov
The Kings, 2022
Olja
80 x 120 x 3 cm
The paintings are executed in oil on canvas and combine classical painting with elements inspired by contemporary culture. In the center of the composition, a figure or image appears, reminiscent of the classical traditions of European painting, associated with masters such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. The form is carefully constructed, with light and shadow and layers of paint characteristic of the classical technique.
Around this image, a dynamic environment of bright colors, spontaneous lines and graphic signs develops, reminiscent of the visual language of graffiti culture. The layers of paint create a sense of movement and time - as if different eras are superimposed on each other on the surface of the canvas.
The contrast between classical harmony and expressive contemporary intervention creates tension, but also a dialogue between the past and the present. The painting raises the question of the sustainability of images and the artist's desire to leave a trace - a sign that will withstand time and become part of the continuous flow of art history.

My name is Christo Kuzmanov and I am a passionate and dedicated artist. From a young age, I have always been drawn to different forms of visual art, from painting with oil colours to creating intricate graffiti designs. As I grew older, I expanded my skills to include graphic design, interior design, and various crafts. I have also completed several art education courses to further enhance my techniques and knowledge. As an artist, I am constantly seeking new ways to express myself and bring my ideas to life. I believe that art is a powerful means of communication and I am always looking for ways to connect with my audience through my creations. Each piece of art tells a unique story and allows viewers to see the world through my eyes.
Under my artist career, since 1991, I have had many exhibitions and participation in Art Fairs in Europe and US. In collaboration with leading galleries and art dealers I've developed various projects....more on: https://christo-kuzmanov.webnode.se/
