Recycled fabric prepared with pages from old books. For texture, I’ve also used “waste” materials such as fruit nets to create interesting effects.
Painted with high-quality acrylics from Målarfabriken – REN Workshops.
There’s gold and glitter in the mix – and a touch of wax crayons as well. This is creativity having fun!

Katri Pethman (b. 1978, Finland)
Based in Sweden
Katri Pethman works in acrylic and mixed media, where vibrant color, abstraction, and intuitive layering create a dialogue between energy and stillness. Rooted in yoga philosophy, her practice explores presence, inner awareness, and emotional resonance.
Through her art, Pethman seeks to awaken a longing in the viewer—to live more fully in the present moment, to feel the energy of life, and to reconnect with their inner core. Her work invites reflection, courage, and authenticity, encouraging each viewer to step toward the life that lives within their dreams.
