Aya is a handmade ceramic bowl/vase with a deliberately collapsed silhouette, shaped to feel heavy, grounded, and almost molten. The form curves inward, creating a deep central opening that contrasts with the wide, low profile.
The exterior is textured with a raw, tactile surface sealed beneath a transparent glaze, giving it a wet look—like stone darkened by rain. The glaze pools and breaks across the surface, catching light unevenly and emphasising the texture.
Striking as a sculptural object, this piece works beautifully on its own or with minimal dried stems.
This piece is hand-formed and entirely unique.
