My name is Anna Forster and I’m an abstract artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. For me, artmaking is a journey of self-discovery driven by curiosity. I focus on the creative process rather than the result, learning to let go, play, and see where it leads.

I create intuitively using acrylic, pastels, coal, and crayons. These mediums allow me to work in multiple layers, creating depth without long drying times. Each painting is unique, calling for different tools and techniques to tell its story. The process can be messy and raw or calm and transformative, often surprising me with the outcome.

My inspiration comes from glimpses of my everyday life, travels, music, nature, and my work reflect both outer and inner landscapes in abstract forms. I thrive on contrasts, always seeking a sense of "aliveness and wonder" to share with others. My goal is to capture the essence of nature, human beings, and emotions beyond words.

Creating art is a way to express myself freely in a space beyond rationality. It’s about playing with colours and shapes to transfer my emotions onto the canvas, in a timeless space of wonder.
