We must constantly maintain a vigilant lookout in the world around us. The pace of change is accelerating at an unprecedented rate, and it is essential that we remain aware of the shifts occurring in our environment. However, this lookout should be gentle and infused with curiosity—an approach that allows us to absorb the beauty and joy that life has to offer, rather than merely observing it from a distance. By embracing a tender curiosity, we open ourselves up to the myriad of experiences that can enrich our lives, ensuring that we do not overlook the small wonders that often bring us the greatest happiness.
In the animal kingdom, meerkats exemplify the importance of looking out for one another. These fascinating creatures are known for their social structures and cooperative behavior, always keeping an eye on their surroundings while also watching over their fellow meerkats. Their unwavering curiosity drives them to explore their environment, leading to a deeper understanding of their habitat and the dangers that may lurk within it. Meerkats are not only intelligent and creative, but they also possess an endearing quality that makes them incredibly adorable and amusing to observe. Their playful antics and social interactions provide endless entertainment, showcasing their unique personalities and the bonds they form within their groups.
Interestingly, meerkats have adapted to survive in arid environments, which is why they do not drink water in the conventional sense. To meet their hydration needs, I placed a meerkat in a juicy raspberry, a delightful and vibrant fruit that symbolizes both nourishment and sweetness. This imagery serves as a reminder that, much like the meerkat's resourcefulness, we too must find creative ways to sustain ourselves and those we care about. Dreaming of raspberries could signify a longing for nurturing and the innate desire to create life, reflecting our deep-seated instincts to nurture and care for others, much like how a meerkat looks after its young and its community. The notion of having marvelous babysitters, akin to the diligent meerkats, suggests that in our quest for connection and support, we can find those who will look out for us, just as we would for them, fostering a sense of community that enriches our lives.

Amid the chaos of current events, I made a conscious decision to transition from dark, politically charged oil paintings on linen to vibrant, playful works on smaller wood panels. This shift not only reflects my desire to evoke joy but also illustrates the importance of laughter during serious times. Each wooden panel is meticulously grounded with pearl paint, creating a delicate lace-like frame around the artwork. In a world often overshadowed by turmoil, my goal is to bring smiles and light through beautiful, humorous expressions.
