At the heart of the artwork “Guardians of the sacred temple” stands a temple, its surface adorned with rows of all-seeing eyes, evoking a sense of spiritual watchfulness. Nestled at the center of the temple is a luminous princess or goddess, her golden glow radiating. She is the divine presence the guardians are sworn to protect.
Coiled around the temple is a serpentine figure, which both shields and encircles the sacred space within. Flanking the temple on either side, are two sentinels: a bird-like guardian on the left and a lizard-like creature on the right. Their raised hands and watchful postures project a sense of defense.
