Tanto Winter, 2021
Akvarell
23 x 31 cm
As you walk across the Årsta Bridge towards Södermalm this is the view that you see. The changing seasons allow different amounts of the characteristic little houses to be seen. It is one reason to like the colder months here, due to the fact the tree and garden coverage disappears and these little houses are able to shine.
This is painted on Arches 300g/m watercolor papaer using winsor & newtow professional watercolor paints. This comes unframed but I include a passepartout 30x40.

I am an American artist, mother and wife, now calling Sweden my home. My creative journey is intertwined with the exploration of this culture and its landscape. I hold a B.F.A. in Illustration, majoring in Children’s Book Illustration. I use that practice when I am painting to capture a moment or a feeling and give it a story. My goal is to create works that not only celebrate the beauty of my surroundings but also share the everyday moments of life and bring joy or warmth to the viewer. My work also extends to illustrating and designing children's books.
