This is a story about the childlike courage and belief that anything is possible, which, with age, gives way to doubts – yet the memories of the first challenges remind us that it's worth overcoming fear.
The sound of the bike gears must have echoed throughout the area. It carried through the fields and rustled through the trees as we sped toward the sea. Golden sand and rising waves. Everything seemed possible - tackling waves bigger than me or digging my way to the bottom of the ocean.
Now… I have doubts, I often feel scared, incapable. But whenever that feeling of uncertainty comes over me, I remember what it felt like to swim for the first time amidst the rocking waves.
