Most paintings are designed to hang in the center of a wall. I wanted to create something different and chose to paint a piece meant for the edge of a wall. I thought it was a great opportunity to use mirror pieces so that one side of the painting reflects the other. As the mirror pieces reflect the bird's opposite side, an almost symmetrical form is created.
