This is a story of being suspended in time - of the paralysis that comes when uncertainty and a flood of thoughts take over, and the wait for a breakthrough becomes overwhelming.
Time stretches, as if each second is locked in a struggle with the gears of the clock. A lopsided sumo match plays out on its fragile hands. Will anyone win in the end? I glance at the time. Nothing.
I freeze in place while my thoughts spin wildly, weaving together scenarios - some likely, others utterly absurd. I wait. For a word, a sign, anything to pull me out of this limbo.
The air thickens, and uncertainty gains weight. It feels as if the world has shrunk, leaving me stranded in an empty space, drifting without anything to hold on to.
