Pettson och Findus, 2023
Akvarell
26 x 36 cm
"Pettson och Findus", Watercolour, Archers rough grain 300g (140lb), 26cm x 36cm (10in x 14in), Daniel Smith paints. Another watercolour interpretation of a photograph - in this one I tried to bring out the feeling from Sven Nordqvist's famous stories, which were also my kids' favourites when they were younger. This painting is still for sale.

Stockholm
I am a relatively new watercolour artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. After being completely immersed in science and engineering for the past 20 years, I have re-kindled my passion for artistic expression. Tracing my lineage across Australia, Yugoslavia and Ukraine, and having also worked and lived in Asia and the US, I embrace cultural fusion, and dispel with any barriers. I specialize in expressive paintings, that portray a particular mood - loneliness, fear, pretentiousness. I like to paint people, social gatherings (cafes, restaurants), and urban scenery. My influences include John Singer Sargent, Alvaro Castagnet, Joseph Zbukvic and Eudes Correia. Since I am relatively new, and constantly feel the impostor syndrome, I charge very low for my paintings - one dollar/euro per square inch for smaller paintings, and twice that for larger paintings. Feel free to reach out to me, or follow me on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/armin_catovic_finearts/)
