Mahmoud Elmardi's small-scale work expresses the harmony between nature and urban life through the bold use of color on geometric shapes. With its vibrant palette and rich texture, the canvas provides an immersive visual experience that evokes feelings of growth and renewal. This work illustrates his ability to capture universal themes while drawing inspiration from his Sudanese surroundings, thus reinforcing his position as an artist capable of transcending cultural boundaries in a unique and contemporary vision.

This painting by Mahmoud Elmardi measuring 40 x 40 cm, is a celebration of color that evokes a feeling of vitality and renewal. The artist, known for his distinctive style that mixes abstraction and symbolic elements, uses in this work a palette dominated by vibrant green tones, combined with touches of blue, orange, yellow and purple. These bright colors create an atmosphere of energy and positivity, reminiscent of the regenerative force of nature.

The center of the composition is occupied by a complex structure made of varied geometric shapes, which recall architectural elements while remaining deliberately ambiguous. These shapes suggest buildings or dwellings in a natural environment, perhaps symbolizing the harmonious interaction between urban life and the green of living nature. The juxtaposition of the elements with the green background could also be a metaphor for the coexistence between modernity and natural traditions, a recurring theme in Mahmoud Elmardi's work.

The texture, rich and thick, adds a tactile dimension to the work, inviting the viewer to explore the surface with their eyes and imagination. Elmardi employs a technique here that combines free brush strokes with a more controlled structure, giving the work a visual dynamism and depth that commands attention. The play of light and shadow in the composition reinforces this feeling of movement and life.
