This painting is part of an introspective exploration of childhood memories, a way of letting subconscious hardships rise to the surface, but also to cherish the love for and tranquil effect of nature and the ocean.

I am a self-taught artist from Gothenburg. Today I live with my family in the countryside of Skåne. When I was young I was determined to become an artist, but somewhere on the path of growing up I lost painting. Since then I have been occupied with other creative things, mainly music. A few years ago I rediscovered painting, and now I have the means I was lacking before, emotional drive, focus and courage to pursue painting as a career.

I draw inspiration from nature. I grew up by the sea which informs my art making the most. The ocean, flora and fauna, marine objects and buildings, boats. Things marked by age. I wish to make beautiful pictures that resonate, and to convey the emotional experience of nature through my art. I find the practice of painting a meaningful excercise to not limit myself, and to diminish the ego.
