The artwork combines various mediums to create a multi-layered visual experience. The primary medium used is oil painting, which lends depth, richness, and a sense of realism to the composition. The artist skillfully blends delicate brushwork with bold strokes, infusing the painting with a dynamic energy.
In "Blossoming Void," the artist incorporates elements of mixed media by incorporating dried flowers and leaves onto the canvas. These natural materials add texture and a tangible connection to the organic world, contrasting with the smoothness of the painted surface. The inclusion of these dried botanical elements enhances the sensory experience and underscores the juxtaposition of the transient and enduring aspects of existence.
The subject of "Blossoming Void" is inspired by the interplay between life and emptiness. It reflects the artist's contemplation of the paradoxical nature of existence, where beauty and transience coexist. The painting captures a moment of blooming, symbolizing the ephemeral nature of life's most exquisite moments. The void, represented by negative space or absence, serves as a backdrop that amplifies the significance of the blossoming flowers.
The artist seeks to evoke a sense of awe and introspection in the viewer, inviting them to reflect on the impermanence of life and the profound beauty found within it. Through "Blossoming Void," the artist explores themes of fragility, impermanence, and the inherent contradictions of human existence. The painting serves as a visual meditation on the delicate balance between creation and emptiness, offering viewers an opportunity to contemplate the inherent contradictions of their own lives and the world around them.

London

Elen Alien (b. 1990, Ukraine) is a staunch cosmopolitan. In her works, she combines elements of different times and cultural communities, thus pointing to the absence of the need for separation, and labeling, to the fact that together all people and nature form a common organism. The art of Elen Alien expresses the unity of the sacred, natural and aesthetic, in their striving for a common goal. Her research unfolds at the points of contact between nature and humans, again addressing questions that people have tried in vain for centuries to find answers to with the help of science and technology. In her artistic practice, the artist tries to "preserve forever" the elusive beauty of the moment. Combining the tenderness of flowers and the hardness of epoxy resin, she reveals the ambivalence of glorifying the beauty of imperfection and contrasts art with digital immortality.
