"Silence" is about the culture of silence surrounding sexual abuse. And the silence I myself created as a child when I did not dare to tell about my experiences. And the silence I am forced into as an adult with fear of slander. The denial that I myself have had when I refused to accept what I was exposed to. Silence is an incredibly strong part of myself. A part that was created to help me survive. Through my painting I can speak out. It gives me an opportunity for healing and integration of difficult experiences.

My paintings are large size portraits.
Portraits of different dissociated parts of myself. I have a background of severe physical and psycological trauma.
The "entities" or identities that i paint, hold memories from abuse so I dont have to remember the things that are to painful for me to remember.
Being able to express myself through art have always been very healing for me and a necessity for my survival.
My healing journey and the courage to integrate continues.
