The first part of the title is of course from Laleh Pourkarim’s fantastic song Colors from 2014. For me, the song is about hope, solidarity and love. Caring for and helping the people around you, as well as you can.
”But when it's not enough to fight for me
I'm gonna wanna live and fight for you”
So the painting is not so much about my own darkness, but more about people that I love. People that fight for light and colors in their darkness. People that I can help. Not with everything all the time. But we all can do something to help. And we all get by with a little help from our friends.
The other part of the title… well that is just what is says.
It sits on the wall in my art studio in Älta, Stockholm, Sweden, shedding light and colors. With a new frame, that was just what it needed in order to stand out even more.

Jag målar på allt. För att det ger mig energi både innan jag gör det, medans jag gör det och efter att det är klart.
Oftast målar jag med olja eller akryl, men ibland med annat eller i blandteknik.
Ofta målar jag ur fantasin, inte sällan grundat i intryck från ett liv i närheten av, på, i eller under vatten.
Mitt liv är mitt egentliga konstverk. Jag avser att fortsätta måla det verket med nyfikenhet, glädje och förundran så länge det bara går, utan att halka ner i för många gamla hjulspår.
Alla verk är unika och finns endast i ett exemplar.
