I See Myself as a Free Spirit, 2016
Akryl
100 x 82 cm
Akryl på linneduk. Från serien "I See Myself" och utställningen med samma namn.
"I’m standing on the top of the world; ready to take whatever step that is calling upon me. The white snow has turned into silver, as a reflection from the feminine that has returned to our world, unharmed, and the mountain itself is covered in the same snow that early made me turn inwards to heal and to learn. I’m now one with that search; it’s no longer a separate part of me."

Lee Seger is a Swedish author, artist, and publisher, running her own independent publishing house. Her artistic journey began in the 1980s with preparatory art studies and design education. After a long pause, painting was resumed in 2015 and has since become an increasingly important part of her work.
Lee primarily works with acrylic and pastel. Acrylic is used for her paintings, while pastel and charcoal are used for illustrations. She has illustrated two card decks, consisting of 77 and 55 individual cards respectively.
Her painting is closely connected to her writing, and the works often carry stories of healing and inner development. Over the years, her series have differed as the painting itself has evolved. Today, the work has become more cohesive, without standing still.
“I find great joy in returning to the same motif through different colour palettes. For me, it is like turning a kaleidoscope — one part remains still, while another reveals an entirely new story. It gives my curiosity room to explore, while also allowing me to rest, for a moment, in the familiar.”
Paintings are primarily sold through personal networks and Instagram. Commissioned work is possible (Lotus Flower). Several paintings are also available as fine art prints, numbered and signed.
