This is me.
My name is Jelena.
It seemed like a matter of moment when I did my first painting but looking back on it, I realize that it was a long time coming. 
And that's what I love the most about painting - time dissolves into a delicate string of moments with each stroke of the brush.
Moments of introspection.
Moments of pain.
Moments of elation.
Moments of freedom...
Perhaps this is why my paintings explore the abstract territory between space and time.
I was born by the sea and I live by the sea so it's no surprise that my work is pretty fluid and mostly inspired by water.
This is me and paining has become a natural part of me.
