Born in Sweden, Hellen started out purely bringing abstract ideas to the canvas. Always evolving, her work has recently moved in a new direction. With her exhibition “New Friends” (Taipei 2022) Hellen introduced the figurative images that had begun to emerge in her abstract paintings. “I saw things, mostly faces … now I let them come to life, and if I like them, I let them stay.”
