Helene C. Lundberg

Artist Helene C. Lundberg lives and works in the medieval coastal resort Åhus on the south east coast of Sweden.

In her abstract pictures, Helene builds up sporadically occurring layers of non-representational painting – she uses different kinds of spatula to adding strokes with paint on the canvas. The painting builds up gradually, based on her reception of the picture's progress – the incidental details and patterns that emerge.

The paintings inspire a powerful sense of energy – while viewing a painting, you feel yourself drawn in, surrounded by it and brought to a place of stillness, both in the painting and in yourself.

A painting by Helene C. Lundberg can take anything from a few hours to days or weeks to complete. The difficulty and the challenge is to end adding layers of paint at the exact right moment, when balance and colors interact into total harmony.

2021, ”Tableau Vivant”, Manhattan, New York.
Konsert & konstutställning arrangerad av kompositören och pianisten Margin Alexander. Under konserten presenterades och tonsattes 12 st inbjudna konstnärers målningar som kompositören valt ut, och som inspirerat honom till att skapa dessa pianostycken. Margin Alexander framförde sin musikaliska tolkning av min målning 'Närvaro'. Eventet livestreamades.
